Efenudu Splashes Cash Gift On Otor-Owhe/Akiewhe Ward 06 Youths
…. promises robust and self-sustaining empowerment programmes.
The Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Youth Mobilisation, Amb. Orevaoghene Precious Efenudu, today, April 1st, 2024, hosted youths of Owhe Ward 6 at the Owhe hall, Otor-Owhe for a programme he tagged Meet and Greet.
The meet and greet meeting with the youths of Owhe Ward 6 was called by Amb. Oreva to thank the youths of the ward for their massive support for the PDP in the last elections and also use the opportunity of the programmeme to reel out his empowerment programme for the youths of the ward.
Efenudu, while addressing the youths, stated that his appointment as an SA on youth mobilisation by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, didn’t come because of his personal efforts in the last election, but because the youth of Owhe Ward 6 stood massively behind the PDP.
“I am standing here today as an SA because of all of our efforts, and in giving back to my comrades who I want to feel a sense of belonging, I will be giving a ₦5,000(Five Thousand Naira Only token monthly to 15 youths from this ward, This will be done rotationally till it gets to every Youths in Our Ward to compliment the efforts of our state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and our Rep, Hon. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, in addition to the four (4) youths already placed on a monthly stipend as appointees under My Office.
“While it is obvious that this poverty alleviation scheme of a monthly token cannot eradicate poverty in its entirety or make our youths self-sufficient, consequently, we will be rolling out an empowerment programme that will enable our youths to be trained on crafts that are capable of making them self-sufficient.
My aim is to make sure that every youth in Our Ward benefits from the More Agenda of Our Governor as we preached during the Campaign that “The Ukodo go Reach Everybody”.
“I want to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for finding me worthy of my appointment, which has given me the rare privilege to key in to his More agenda for the state.
Speaking on behalf of the ward youths, General Omoefe Ogbaudu, who is the BOT chairman of the Owhe council of youths, commended Efenudu for the laudable initiative and noted that this is the first time an appointment from the ward will be deepening his or her hand into their monthly pay to empower the youths of the ward.
“I want to give kudos to Efenudu Oreva and also applaud him for this wonderful and eye-opening initiative that he has initiated today to give back to the youths, who are the people who usually bring the votes during elections. I pray the Lord will continue to bless him and promote him before the Governor, Omoefe added.
